He's fighting our battles!

I've been meaning to blog all week from last Sunday's night service.

Awesome worship with Lion and the Lamb (Bethel) it was one of those nights where I couldn't help but bow before Him.

Our God is the Lion, the Lion of Judah

He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles

And every knee will bow before Him

Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain

For the sin of the world His blood breaks the chains

And every knee will bow before The Lion and the Lamb

Every knee will bow before Him

God's timing for every season!

Hope & New Beginnings

One of my favourite books of the Bible has been Job for the last couple of years.

It is an amazing reminder of God's faithfulness through everything.  Job who lost everything he had stood steadfast in his grief, trusted God for who He is,

And I love the amazing restoration that God brought to Job's life.

And the LORD restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends; and the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. Then came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and ate bread with him in his house, and they showed him sympathy and comforted him for all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him; and each of them gave him a piece of money and a ring of gold. And the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; and he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses. He also had seven sons and three daughters. (Job 42:10-13 RSV)

This is my year of Hope and today is the day of new beginnings!

It's not about me

It's not about me - my weaknesses, appearance, failures, successes, what I am doing, not doing.

It is not a reflection on who I am - my inner or outer beauty.

And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you.  For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.  All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.” Mark 7:20-23
